Hey guys! I need some advice and am hoping you can help me out a bit. I'm new to playing a boomkin, started this toon for this expansion (was a holy priest gone shadow before that... and a hunter before that). I feel like my dps is low...I've read the stuff on EJ (multiple times), and compared myself to other boomkins on WMO and worldoflogs. I'm not sure if my rotation/gear/gem/enchants is bad or really what I am doing wrong, hoping to get some advice or at least a different explanation than on EJ.
My rotation: I start off with insect swarm, moonfire, starsurge, trees and starfall. Than either wrath or starfire to get me to the closest eclipse. I use trees on CD and try to aim for starfall when I'm in a lunar eclipse and if it's safe for me to be using it. I refresh my dots when there is 1-2 seconds left, unless I'm about to go into solar eclipse, than I wait to refresh moonfire since it will be sunfire. I also attempt to aim my starfall and trees with hero/time warp... but that doesn't seem to always be possible.
