I have posted this on the MMO forums, and decided to post it here as well, as a lot of Hunters will visit this forum too.

You recommend a haste plateau of 1850, so that our rotation resembles the t11 4-piece one (CS, 5x SS, 2x ArS).
I believe your logic concerning the 1850 haste plateau is as follows (using glyphed CS, judging by Devai's armory);
Steady Shot (1.34) - Steady Shot (2.68) - Arcane Shot (3.68) - Arcane Shot (4.68) - Steady Shot (6.02) - Steady Shot (7.36) - Steady Shot (8.70). This would leave you with a .3 second window before you can cast CS, but none of us play 100% lagfree.
However, there is one understandable but vital mistake in this logic; we start our rotation at 1.00, because of the GCD we use when firing CS. This means the rotation ends at 9.70, delaying your CS by almost a second. The whole 1850 haste plateau is dodgy to say the least, and I believe you should be going for the 12.93% haste plateau without the CS glyph.
If I missed something here, do enlighten me!

I understand your logic.. I think, but I am quite sure that the rotation between Chimeras start after the Chimera GCD.

No it doesn't. Try it at a dummy. You will see that each CS will delay by nearly a second.

I just ran this on the dummies for a few rotations

Removed my haste procing trinkets

Opened up with steadyspam just to get stuff going --

Chimera
2steady
2arc
2steady
CHimera

The above fit perfectly -- ignoring things like focus capping on accident, etc.
A dynamic rotation of

Chimera
2arc (or 1 depending on remaining focus)
4steady (3 steady +instant aimed if avail and have a .3-.5 delay before chimera)
Chimera

Is also viable.

Perhaps he had a typo when he said 5 steadyshots? or the old rotation with 5/2 +Chim was unglyphed chimera? -- Either way, yes your correct that a 5/2+chim glyphed is not right. .. More likely is that its simply a typo.

1850 haste is WAY too much if you go with a 4SS, 2AS, CS Rotation and the CS glyph. Your needed base casttime then is 1.5 sec.
Did you have the 10% Attackspeed buff when you were at the dummy?

It's not feasible to get 5/2 rotation without 4T11, that would require about 2920 haste rating.

4/2 rotation would only require around 300 haste rating assuming zero delay between shots, but you probably would not gain enough focus to maintain it (at least until they fix 4T12 to work with Arcane Shot).

What all this means is that there doesn't seem to be a good fixed cycle anymore once you ditch 4T11 and you'll have to run a more complex rotation alternating at least two different cycles. Or go for Aimed Shot dump, which does look viable for fights where you don't have to move, more on this in other threads.

Agreed. What Devai wrote, however, gave me the impression that he recommended a 5/2 rotation with the CS glyph, as to resemble our t11 4-piece rotation. His armory appears to suggest the same, but as you said, one would need 2920 haste rating to achieve this. The only viable rotation that we seem to have at the moment (after dropping the t11 4-set) is a 5/2 rotation with 12.93% haste, and without the CS glyph, with either RF or KS replacing that. This would lead to the following required haste ratings, assuming 3/3 Imp SS and Windfury/Hunting Party/Icy Talons:
Pathing -- Haste required
0/3______1656
1/3______1513
2/3______1372
3/3______1235

To conclude; the 1850 haste plateau is not nearly enough to get a 5/2 rotation with glyphed CS, and way too high for a 5/2 rotation without glyphed CS.

@Noctis.. Yea this was with windfury - I have around 30 latency... and I have no idea why Im only able to fit that many shots into 8 seconds (Glyphed Chimera shot+1sec GCD)

Will try again here in a bit.

Partied with a survival hunter for the 10% buff
My haste: 1853.
Steady shot cast time 1.341

Not saying this rotation is focus perfect, but what *fit* was:
Chimera, Steady, Steady, Arc, Arc, Steady, Steady, Chimera
(Note, have ISS Buff pre first chimera in this case)
0 to 1 (chimera
1-2.341 (First steady)
2.341-3.682 (Second steady)
3.682-4.682 (First arc)
4.682-5.682 (Second arc)
5.682-7.023 (First steady)
7.023-8.364 (Second Steady)

Leaves a .636 delay till chimera shot.. and my 30 world latency seems to account for this...
It really does seem a 4/2 rotation *fits* in a glyphed chimera scenario -- but due to focus, you probably would have to drop 1 steady for another instant every other chimera shot... adding another .341 (Steadycasttime minus 1 for gcd) to the chimera delay.

All in all I dont appear to be waiting at all OTHER then when I get an Aimed 5stack... Seems right?
