Chimera Glyph

Hey guys,

This has been bugging me for a while. I've noticed a lot of high-end hunters are using the Chimera glyph and I've tried it a few times on dummies to see how it plays out. The problem is that I end up with shot CDs sort of overlapping, so I end up delaying shots. I'm pretty sure that devalues the glyph. The thing is, I really want to make use of it if I can and I'm trying to work out where I'm going wrong.

I don't think latency is a problem. I've actually bound all 3 main shots to my scroll wheel to get them off as quickly as possible (ctrl+wheel for chimera, alt+wheel for aimed and wheel for steady). I currently have 1.37% haste, which is slightly lower than Kruf. It's not as much of a problem when Improved AotH procs.

Would be grateful for any help/suggestions.

The biggest benefit to the CS glyph is it eases the task of rolling serpent sting on two different targets.

...or just one target when you have to switch to something else for a short duration.

Do you have the correct priorities? You must always prioritize Chimera over Aimed, otherwise you end up stuck in a loop where the cooldowns overlap every time...

And yes, it works far better once you're GCD capped, but that should be more than 50% of the fight (IAotH has about 50% uptime IIRC, add Bloodlust and Rapid Fire and you're under a haste effect most of the fights).

Thanks guys. Actually, I realise the benefit of making it easier to roll multiple serpents. I guess because of the 4 set bonus that alone would probably increase the value of the glyph a lot on certain fights.

With regards to being GCD capped: do you think in this situation that dummy testing isn't quite good enough? Oh and yes I do prioritise Chimera > Aimed. I've got a raid tonight so I'll see what happens with it.

Cheers for the input. :)
