We're currently working on Heroic Maloriak in our 25 raid and I'm wondering if you Paragon rogues can shed some light as to how you're handling maximizing damage you deal to the Vile Swills.
Currently I'm doing something like this:
1) Use Vendetta/Cold Blood on the pull, but not using Vanish. Pool 5 combo points just before the Vile Swills spawn.
2) Redirect 5 combo points to a Vile Swill then Rupturing for Venomous Wounds procs, then just Fan of Knives as usual.
3) Vanish -> Garrote -> Rupture that same Vile Swill then Fan of Knives as usual - then only continuing to Rupture if I get a Ruthlessness proc, I never Mutilate/Backstab to refresh this.
Quite obviously using Deadly Poison on the Thrown Weapon.
Is there anything you'd recommend doing differently to maximize damage to the Vile Swills so that they die more quickly before our Red/Blue phase?

If vile swill damage is a problem for your raid, I think you should be saving cold blood for them aswell. It should be ready again for the aberrations / next vile swills, depending on how you do the encounter. I doubt the boss enraging will be a problem if you have the dps to survive the aoe phases. What your raid should think about is switching some better classes in or letting the tank(s) finish off the low hp swills when the boss changes to blue/red phase.
Fok optimization hasn't been modeled yet so all we can do is guess and do what feels best. Personally I always try to have a rupture running on the boss, have just refreshed snd and a few combo points on the boss so I can redirect and rupture a swill when they spawn. I think that after they have all spawned it's not worth keeping snd up with envenoms, as fok has potential to do so much damage with the same energy that it costs you to mutilate and envenom (which doesn't do shit with low combo points). 1 point ruptures should return 36 energy on average for the 25 (or 0 if you're lucky) energy you spend on them, so I guess they should always be used if ruthlessness procs.

using your TotT on an other ae dps is also a good boost (let's say a warlock? :D)
I usually do my first trick on the tank, then i have time to throw 2 more on the warlock before next phase
