Guess I'm not the only one beeing disappointed in the new metagem requirements that was added today, I mean, more blue gems than red? Come on Blizzard...

"The current design has been reconsidered, so we're planning to revert gems that now require more blue than red gems back to their original requirements. Such a change can't be accomplished via a hotfix though, so we'll have to wait to revert these in a future patch."

Even tho Blizzard say they've been reconsidering this idea and might change it back, it still means in the meanwhile we're gonna have to regem atleast one time before Cataclysm hit.

So, since I have like 10 orange, 8 red and 4 blue gems I got kinda emo tbh when I realised this means I need to regem pretty much everything. The requirement of having more blue than red gems means you can be using like agility+haste cause those will count as red gems aswell, same thing with agility+hit/expertise+hit. So I was thinking; do I gonna have to use 20 haste in yellow slots and purple gems in all red and blue slots, for example: 10 purple = 10 red + 10 blue and then a raw hit gem to make it 11 blue + 10 red. I know it might be kinda blurry to read.

Anyone else got a better option? Share your ideas please!
EDIT: Don't post comments like "it's soon cataclysm". I'm a perfectionist and hate not having the best.

Why post something I've already written?
And the thread itself you linked didn't give me more than a few new expressions of whine.

Oh I am sorry. I just read the headline and thought that you might have missed the blue post. Just ignore my message then. With the amount of bugs in the latest patch I'd hope they hotfix some stuff before Cata.

I'd rather stick with the haste meta since that benefit alot more then 21 crit and minor runspeed which most people already got from either specc or bootsenchant.

why would anyone get a gem with minor speed or even use a boot enchant with minor speed, when the majority of the rogues are using assassination spec for pve? O_o

my advice is to use gems with stats that you are missing until you go around ilvl350 with 4-5 epic parts and then start using agility combo gems.
