Assuming that they won't nerf the engineering glove enchant it will be vastly superior to any other profession, granting 96 agility on average. Jewelcrafting is a close second with 81 agi.

Dear Rakez, I've read some EJ today and noticed the Engineering glove enchant are nerfed to 10s duration and it's now equal or below another crafting professions, below because if you cannot synchronize your glove enchant with your dps cooldowns like vendetta, bloodlust w.e. and if you have a downtime in a middle fight or anything bad happen, your Eng bonus will be low than other professions bonus.

Do you think the same or what?

Didn´t find any posts pointing to a change like that, didn´t spend too much time looking either though.
Even if they are going to make the enchant equal with other professions you still get rocket boots and parachute cloak which both can be lifesavers when you get into a sticky situation. 480agi for 10 seconds still most likely overperforms the average 80 agility from other professions. Don´t have time to explain right now so I´ll just link this post. It´s a few years old and is about static vs proc trinkets, but the same principles hold true there aswell.

There is also the fact that, in a fight in witch you have to switch and run, let's say for 5 sec before hitting something again, you basically just loose your static stat for this period. One the opposite, as you can activate you engineering whenever you want, you can make sure that you always have ten second to dps under the buff.

A good solution is to bind your gloves with your mutilate, so you use it whenever it's up (i think it's /use 17 for gloves slot), doingg that will maximize your uptime, it's the easy way for engineering gloves, but not the best (since sometimes it's better to keep it for few seconds in order to time it with an other event that will allow some sort of synergy).

I've asked it to you because I've read it on EJ forums link and there is saying a bonus with a cooldown usage in a middle fight with downtimes or target switch can be low than a constant bonus. And on this part of EJ's post they are talking when it was not nerfed to 10s.

The post about the nerf on Engineering is link.

EDIT: Ieatpaperbag from EJ forums, the guy who have created the Assassination guide for cataclysm, have said it to me and cleared my choice.

"It's a little hard to say to be completely honest, yes; you defiantly can use it along with all your cooldowns as Assassination (not necessarily as Combat since your cooldowns have different cooldown times due to Restless Blades). On the other hand, you think about what encounters are like right now, how often does Vendetta come up but you don’t hit it because you know that you’ll have to swap targets in 15 seconds and don’t want to waste part of Vendetta. Do you just use your glove tinker all by itself and use Vendetta later or delay the use of both till you get to 30 seconds on your next target? The moment you do that, the value of the enchant drops to the level of other 80 agility professions (or lower). Another example is where you would need to FoK for a significant amount of time where Vendetta isn’t a good cooldown to use but your tinker still is. So, really it comes down to how well you can manage your cooldowns, even then, there is only so much in your control. It’ll be better for some encounters and not so stellar for others."

That words have made my choice in engineering.

Thanks for the links, mmo-champion must have missed that change as I couldn't find it there earlier.

While not being able to use vendetta on cooldown (and thus stack the effects) is a valid concern, I honestly can't think of any other heroic mode encounter beside cho'gall where that applies often. More often than not you will be able to stack them and more importantly use the gloves when you need them, burst phases for example. Getting through the hardest phase of any fight even a second faster for each engineer dps can make the difference between a wipe and a kill.

Even though they pretty much ruined nitro boosts making them so damn rng, they can still save your life (or make you live a while longer) when used in a tough spot. They alone are worth more than any profession enchant when they save a player or the whole raid from wiping. Also the helmet is still the best 359 option available, and most people probably don't have access to any 372 helmets yet.

Do you still use your nitro-boost even if you it can knocks you in the air? what do you do if that happens? Geeving that it fails about 1 out of 4 for me, I decided it was too much random to be used in raids. So i'm highly interested in tips to use it safely during a try.

I got rid of engineering the week we started heroic modes, so I wouldn't know about any tips. Bought all the mats to raise it back after the patch hits. The point I was going for was that even if they fail they are still valuable when you are about to die anyway. More often than not even the failure keeps you alive through whatever you were about to die to.
