To all of you frosties: It is up to you to sub-spec it. I've seen some pretty nasty numbers after the patch. Ofcourse, when you think about it, when all Runes are on C.D. - It's FS FS FS FS FS FS FS FS FS (If you can even fit that much). You just need to take into consideration what gear is being used, and a BIG part of it is weapons. I had 2x251's and somehow got 2x264's and saw a maaaaajorrr DPS gain. It was nuts.

Anyways, GL

RGP is the 2second rule as it's known by some where if a rune is off cooldown for more than 2seconds instead of having a 10second refresh rate it refreshes in 8,

Hey zYN i saw that you have 2 spec's one taking CotG and one w/o points going into black ice i take it u use the black ice spec for fights like festergut where rupture and revitalize are utilized.

Yeah. I tried Marrowgar, Rotface etc kind of fights with the 0/2 build. I'm leaning more towards the 2/2 build - I'm definitely not having constant RP overflow. Even in very heavy RP regen fights (well over 100 extra RP/min), I occasionally get free GCDs. That is not a good thing.

Doing LK right now with 2/2 spec - even if it loses out on some AoE damage, the full CotG build seems to be overall more optimal regardless.

RGP = 2 second window after any rune comes off of cooldown and is again ready to be used. The rune will start regenerating up to two seconds in advance if it's not instantly used. Two seconds is the maximum time, after which you will harm your DPS - the runes don't ... PREGENERATE (wowzah!) further than that.

Examples: If you use a rune as soon as it comes off of cooldown, it will be ready in 10 seconds. If you use it 0.5s after becoming ready, it'll be ready in 9.5 seconds. If you throw a FS right as FU (oblit) runes become available, your runes will become available in 8.5 seconds, as long as you throw an Oblit after FS.

This is very important in scenarios where you'd overflow RP, you have a KM proc, you're low on RP but have a Rime proc up that's running out etc - it's quite simply just significantly more DPS.

Checked this out just today, and yes, you were right (as I suspected). BI is surprisingly bad damage per point. I just dislike the idea of losing even more AoE-damage in favor of just slightly more single target.

I'll probably start speccing the left over point in it. This is only in the 0/2 CotG though, which I've found surprisingly little use for.

I guess Frost is very good in the last phase of LK heroic. You're almost in execute range when it starts.

Yeah, Frost is pretty damn awesome in it. It has every tool that's required for the fight and does it excellent.

And thanks for the grats. 8]

Congratulations on the kill!

Is there any log available for the public to view now that you've finished the world first? Would love to see some numbers!

Sorry, no. We're using WMO pretty exclusively, but we're not going to upload any logs of the fight just yet.

My guess is they're gonna be available some time next week, along with the video etc - we're going to hold on to them for a while to give everyone else a fair chance to finish the encounter they've worked very hard on without getting "spoiled." I'm guessing +10% is gonna roll around next week anyway, so there's a pretty good chance of more kills happening very soon.
