Choosing a laptop is always about making a compromise, and the actual choice depends heavily on your typical use case - it wouldn't make sense to buy a big and heavy Alienware super gaming laptop if all you wanted was something to type on while sitting in a plane, for example. Make a list of things you want from the laptop (does it have to be lightweight? what kind of GPU/CPU performance do you need? etc) and then see what matches those best.
